This is Islamabad High court which is struggling hard to enforce fundamental rights of citizens who are being killed allegedly by the US drones in Pakistan's tribal region.
Inside the court, this top police official refused to implement over a year old orders of the judges to register a criminal case against American CIA officials and investigate them in and outside Pakistan for killing innocent tribal people.
The public face of Pakistan's foreign policy is largely confined to issuing regular statements condemning the US drone attacks. However, analysts say the real policy is run through secrecy where the country's military and intelligence establishment allegedly coordinate with the CIA and provide all kind of information about the hideouts of militants in the tribal areas.
The High Court has now given two weeks to the government to decide on whether to investigate CIA officials or face what legal experts say possible court proceeding against the officials for violating its orders.
As many as 4000 people, have been killed in US drone attacks since 2004. Hardly few hundreds among them were militants.
