Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud died on Friday at the age of 90 after nearly two decades in power.
The Saudi King’s death has been met with eulogies and uncertainty, with some calling it the death of a tyrant, and others the loss of a reformer.
This is while rights groups condemned King Abdullah’s policies in suppression of Bahrainis, and Saudis especially in Eastern Province.
With such a dismal legacy, and yet such praise being heaped on him from the West and even Israel, we will try to outline Abdullah’s legacy, and ask what the future holds for the Al Saud royal family and the Saudis?
Press TV’s guests Ali Al Ahmad, the director and founder of Institute for (Persian) Gulf Affairs (I[P]GA) from Washington, and Jihad Mouracadeh, political commentator from Beirut, will discuss the issue.
