Jerry Byers joined Press TV in 2024 in St. Petersburg, Russia where he has lived since 2014.

Jerry covers a wide variety of topics including the conflict with Ukraine, Russian energy, international relations, trade, and cultural events. He has degrees in Russian studies, international relations, and education with a Master’s in Eurasian energy politics and economics.

Jerry has worked for RT as a news and opinion editor, an editor and contributor for the energy politics focused ENERPO Journal, and an author and editor for many academic and business publications over the last 10 years. He has also served as a consultant for several Russian firms.

Jerry is most passionate about Eurasian history and culture, diplomacy, and energy production and trade.
