Rachel Hamdoun is a New York-based journalist and writer, who joined Press TV in 2024. She is fluent in English, Arabic, German and is studying Turkish and French. Her reporting centers around human rights and international law.
She attained her Peace & Conflict Studies at the University of Utah in the US in 2019 and went on to graduate with her Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Vienna-Austria in 2022. Her thesis on Indigenous genocide was nominated for best masters thesis.
She worked for Al Mayadeen for two years in Beirut as a news editor, script writer and video presenter. She additionally has experience working with the UN headquarters in New York and the UNDP in Lebanon. Many of her articles showcase her extensive knowledge on US domestic and foreign policy alongside Turkish politics
