Iran's Saeid Afrooz has etched his name in history by winning the gold medal in the men's Javelin Throw once more at the 12th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships.
Afrooz set a new world record in Paralympics javelin throw (F34) by extending his own World Record with a throw of 41.52 meters on Thursday, improving the 41.16 meters he had set at the Kobe 2024 World Para Athletics Championships in Japan.
Afrooz had broken the world record and snatched the gold medal at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships in Paris, as well.

3rd gold for Iran
The World Para Athletics Championships 2025 is being held in the Indian capital of New Delhi from September 26 to October 5, 2025.
The Iranian team has already won three gold medals in New Delhi, so far. In addition to Afrooz, Amirhossein Alipour and Elham Salehi also won gold medals.
Mehdi Olad and Hajar Safarzadeh each claimed silver medals, while the Iranian team also secured three bronze medals in New Delhi, earned by Amanollah Papi, Elham Salehi, and Zeinab Moradi.
