Hundreds of people took to the streets of Dusseldorf on Saturday to demand the end of the war in Gaza amid deepening humanitarian crisis.
Footage also shows protesters chanting while waving Palestinian flags and holding placards with slogans such as 'Freedom for Palestine! Stop the genocide!'
Some demonstrators described German media as 'one-sided', urging for international law to be respected.
"Many people are afraid of losing their jobs if they speak out too strongly for one side, or rather, if they don’t express support for Israel," one of the protesters remarked.
The protest is part of the 'All Eyes on Gaza' rally, which was organized by a coalition of over 50 groups, including the Palestinian Association of Germany, Medico International, and the Left Party.
Meanwhile, Gaza faces the highest level of famine (IPC Phase 5), and over 94 percent of hospitals are destroyed.
Tensions escalated after Hamas's October 7 attack, which killed 1,139. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports over 65,549 deaths from subsequent Israeli campaigns at the time of publication.
