Invoking snapback 'illegal, unjustified'
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the European parties to the JCPOA deciding to trigger the snapback mechanism. Tehran has rejected the decision as a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231. It stressed that France, Germany, and the UK lack the legal authority to resort to the snapback process after they failed to honor their JCPOA obligations. Foreign ministers of the three European countries, along with the EU foreign policy chief held a phone call with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, announcing their decision. Araghchi condemned the move as unjustified, illegal, and baseless under international law. The European trio is going to send a letter to the UN Security Council to announce the activation of the mechanism. The three countries say they are ready to negotiate with Iran within the next 30 days to reach a nuclear agreement that could stop the process.

'Unhinged criminality' in Gaza slammed
The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has described Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza as “unhinged criminality” marked by “absolute tyranny” and blatant disregard for all moral and humanitarian boundaries. Seyyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi said no living creature has been spared in the Israeli genocide in Gaza which amounts to utter collapse of ethical values among global powers. He condemned the targeting of ambulances, rescue teams, journalists, and media professionals as heinous crimes emblematic of Israel’s approach to dealing with civilians. Al-Houthi noted that the recent deadly strike on Al-Nasr Hospital was not random, but part of a premeditated plan devised by Israel’s criminal leadership. He warned that this strategy executed in coordination with the United States reflects reckless disregard for human life and a violation of all sacred norms.
