Iran’s warning
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has warned that it will no longer exercise restraint in the face of any hostile action against the country. In a statement, the General Staff warned “the criminal and malicious state of America and the brutal Zionist regime to cease their conspiracies and hostility against the powerful and invincible Iran”. It said in the event of any miscalculation or hostile act, there would be no repeat of Iran’s restraint that prevented large-scale operations during the 12-day imposed war. It added that the enemies would instead face new surprises and measures far more crushing and destructive than before.
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
More Palestinians have starved to death as a result of Israel’s blockade on the Gaza Strip. In the latest 24-hour reporting period, 11 people, including a child, were starved to death in the strip. The death toll from hunger now stands at 251, with 40,000 infants suffering from severe malnutrition. According to Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital, the lives of more than 200 patients are also at risk due to shortages of medicine and malnutrition. Meanwhile, an Israeli strike killed two people and injured 15 in al-Mawasi, in southern Gaza. The attack was carried out on a tent for displaced people in an area Israel designated as a “safe zone.” The death toll since the beginning of the US-Israeli genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023 has reached nearly 61,900, with more than 155,600 people injured.
Slamming US complicity
The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, says the US green light to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the reason for the continuation of the regime’s crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza. In a statement, Hamas said the crimes that the terrorist regime of Netanyahu is committing in the Gaza Strip are being carried out with stubbornness and prior declaration before the whole world. It said Washington must review its policies, which have made it a real partner in the Israeli genocidal war against Palestinians. The movement called on the international community, the United Nations and its institutions, as well as the Arab and Islamic countries, to break their silence in the face of Israeli crimes. Hamas called for action to stop what it called the crime of the fascist regime that is being committed in Gaza to realize the dream of the so-called Greater Israel.
