Iranian miniature painting icon passes away, leaving lasting legacy

Iran is mourning Mahmoud Farshchian; the master of Persian miniature painting, the one who transformed the tradition with a distinctive blend of heritage and modernity.

He died in the United States at the age of 95, leaving a deep void in the Iranian art world. His works, displayed in museums across Iran and around the globe, will continue to inspire generations.
