US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More Palestinian civilians are killed across the Gaza Strip as the US-Israeli genocide rages on. In one of the latest strikes, at least five people were killed after Israeli forces struck a group of civilians near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli troops opened fire on Palestinians near the Netzarim aid distribution center, killing at least two people and injuring several others. Aid centers have been the primary target of Israeli attacks for weeks, resulting in more than one thousand fatalities as a result of direct fire. The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed nearly 61,370 Palestinians and left almost 153,000 others injured.

Pro-resistance protest

People have once again taken to the streets in several Lebanese cities, protesting the controversial decision by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s cabinet to implement a US-backed proposal to disarm anti-Israel resistance movements. Protesters called on the government to reverse the decision, citing ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon. Resistance factions have strongly condemned the move. In one of the latest reactions, Lebanese lawmaker Mohammed Raad, head of the pro-resistance bloc in parliament, warned that surrendering weapons would amount to suicide. Raad said the real threat to Lebanon is not the resistance’s arms, but Israeli attacks. He added that while they support limiting weapons to the Lebanese army, that should only happen when the army is capable of repelling occupation and defending the country. He also cautioned that certain domestic elements are trying to push Lebanon toward normalization with the Israeli regime.

Azerbaijan-Armenia deal

Iran has welcomed the peace deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia, while warning against foreign intervention near borders that undermines regional security and stability. In a statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry hailed the finalization of the peace agreement text as a significant step toward lasting stability. Tehran stressed that establishment of communication routes and transport networks should be pursued within the framework of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of regional nations and without foreign interference. The ministry reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to work with both Azerbaijan and Armenia to maintain peace and promote economic growth in the region.
