US-Israel Gaza genocide
Over two dozen Palestinians have been killed in fresh Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn, as the regime presses ahead with the genocidal war on the besieged strip. One of the latest strikes claimed the lives of at least three Palestinians waiting for food near the southern city of Rafah. Five others were killed when Israeli warplanes attacked the tents housing the displaced in the al-Mawasi camp. The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed around 61,000 Palestinians, leaving over 150,000 others injured.

Israel ‘on precipice of defeat’

Around 20 former Israeli officials have called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, saying the regime is on the precipice of defeat. Former Shin Bet and Mossad chiefs and former IOF chiefs of staff are among those who issued the call in a joint message. They argue that Israel has received more losses than victories in its continued onslaught, adding that the war has been raging on due to political reasons, not because of strategic military need. The message is yet another reminder of the division among Israeli officials over the war in Gaza. Many of the signatories have previously criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu’s handling of the Gaza war. The PM has been under fire at home for months. Demonstrations against Netanyahu have become a regular sight in Tel Aviv, with protesters calling for the release of the captives held in Gaza.

Yemen anti-Israel operations

The Yemeni Army says it has launched a fresh anti-Israeli operation in support of Gaza. The spokesperson added that the operation successfully achieved its goal, halting airport operations and forcing millions of Israeli settlers to flee to bomb shelters. The attack marked the latest in a series of Yemeni strikes on Israeli targets, which have repeatedly caused airport closures. Yemen also presses ahead with its marine navigation blockade against Israel, targeting ships bound for ports in the occupied territories. Yemen says its anti-Israel operations will continue until the regime’s genocidal war on Gaza stops, and the siege of the territory is lifted.
