Genocide, starvation in Gaza
The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza continues, as dozens more Palestinians have been killed either by bombs or by forced starvation. At least 27 of the civilians killed in the latest round of attacks were aid-seekers. Israeli forces have been constantly targeting aid distribution centers, killing starving civilians gathering there for food. Six more have died of starvation and malnutrition. Meanwhile, The Palestinian Red Crescent Society says an Israeli strike ignited a fire on its headquarters in Khan Yunis, killing one staff member and injuring three others. This incident forms part of a broader pattern of Israeli strikes on healthcare infrastructure in Gaza. The US-Israeli campaign of genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed more than 60,800 Palestinians.
Al-Aqsa mosque stormed
Israeli settlers, led by far-right minister Itamar Ben Gvir, have again stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, escalating a pattern of violations now treated as routine. As Palestinians face suppression, Ben Gvir openly demands the conquest of Gaza.
Pakistan 'heartening' support
Iran and Pakistan sign several bilateral agreements to strengthen cooperation across key sectors, followed by a joint press conference held by President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The agreements cover areas including economic development, transportation, trade, energy, and regional collaboration. Regarding the 12-day US-Israeli aggression against Iran, President Pezeshkian hailed what he called Pakistan’s ‘heartening’ support for Tehran. He said the positions adopted by Pakistan’s government, parliament, political groups, scholars, and people regarding that aggression were very heartening. Prime Minister Sharif for his part, reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Iran’s right to pursuing a peaceful nuclear program. Touching on international issues, both leaders strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
