US-Israeli Gaza genocide
Israel's unrelenting attacks continue to claim more Palestinian lives across Gaza, as the regime’s military intensifies its air and artillery strikes on the blockaded territory. In one of the latest attacks, at least nine Palestinians were killed and 30 injured in an Israeli airstrike on an apartment building in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. A separate strike on a home in the al-Mawasi refugee camp, also in Khan Yunis, killed several people. The Israeli bombing of a building in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, was also deadly, with at least one fatality. Israeli troops also opened fire on Palestinian aid seekers in several parts of Gaza, killing over 30 of them. The US-Israeli genocide, which began on October 2023, has so far killed more than 59,800 Palestinians, leaving over 144,800 others injured. Most of the victims are women and children.
Hamas leader speech
The leader of Hamas in Gaza has renewed the movement’s call for international pressure on Israel to lift the blockade on humanitarian aid delivery to the war-torn territory. Al-Hayya warned that the suffering of the people of Gaza has reached unimaginable levels. He said over the past twenty-two months, the resistance leadership has employed every available channel to end the Israeli aggression. He added that the group was caught off guard when both the Israeli delegation and the US envoy abruptly withdrew from the latest round of the Gaza ceasefire talks. He called the US-Israeli decision a “blatant move” aimed at derailing negotiations and prolonging the war. Al-Hayyia also rejected what he described as “the occupation’s negotiation games,” asserting that the Palestinian people must not be used as pawns in political maneuvering. He emphasized that there is no point in continuing negotiations as long as the Palestinian people in Gaza face genocide, starvation, and siege.
Yemeni anti-Israel operations
The Yemeni army has announced plans to escalate its military operations against Israel in response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Saree called on all countries to pressure the Israeli regime to halt its aggression against Gaza, and lift the blockade on the territory if they seek to avoid any escalation. He said Yemen’s decision to intensify its attacks on Israel is based on the country's moral and humanitarian stance in the face of the injustice done to the Palestinian people. The Yemeni army spokesman condemned the continued aggression against Gaza, calling it the outcome of what he described as the shameful silence of Arab and Islamic countries and the international community. The Yemeni army has launched numerous attacks on vessels bound for Israel since the start of the Gaza genocide. It has also struck targets deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories with missiles and drones.
