US-Israel Gaza genocide
It’s another deadly day for Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip as the Israeli military strikes the coastal territory with more attacks. The deadliest of the attacks was the one targeting a house in the al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza city, with nearly a dozen fatalities. Other targeted areas include the city of Deir al-Balah and the al-Bureij refugee camp, both in central Gaza. To the south, fatalities were reported in Israeli bombing of tents housing the displaced near Khan Yunis. The Gaza genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed more than 57,500 Palestinians, leaving over 136,800 others injured.
Iran response to Israeli aggression
An Israeli military official has acknowledged that Iranian missiles have struck some of the regime’s military sites during the 12-day war imposed on the Islamic Republic. Speaking to Reuters on the condition of anonymity, the official refrained from disclosing specific details about which military sites were hit or the extent of the damage. The acknowledgment follows a report by The Telegraph, which said five IOF bases were struck by six Iranian ballistic missiles during the war. Among those facilities were a major airbase, an intelligence center, and a logistics base. The Telegraph's report was based on radar data obtained from Oregon State University. Such revelations and reports are emerging amid Tel Aviv's stringent military censorship laws, which typically bar the disclosure of information about military damage or losses.
Russia-Ukraine war
The Ukrainian air force says Russia has carried out its largest missile and drone strike on Ukraine since the start of the war between the two neighbors. According to Kiev, Russia launched record 728 drones and 13 missiles on multiple Ukrainian cities overnight. It added that air defense systems intercepted majority of the drones. The western city of Lutsk, bordering Poland and Belarus, was the hardest hit, while 10 other regions were also under attack. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia’s massive attack highlights the need for tough sanctions on Moscow and secondary punitive measures against Russian oil.
