Targeting Gaza aid seekers

The Israeli military continues its relentless strikes on the besieged Gaza Strip, with civilian casualties rising sharply in the war-torn territory. According to the Gaza ministry of health, at least 27 people were killed and many more injured in an early morning attack on an aid distribution point in Rafah. Earlier, the airstrikes by the regime’s warplanes targeted displaced Palestinians in Gaza, killing at least three people in the al-Mawasi refugee camp near Khan Yunis, nearly 20 in Jabalia, and several others in Deir al-Balah. The US-Israeli genocide has claimed the lives of at least 54,470 civilians. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says the number of child casualties in Gaza has exceeded 50,000.

Iran-Lebanon relations

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed Tehran’s unflinching support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of the Israeli occupying regime. The top Iranian diplomat, however, said Tehran’s support should in no way be interpreted as interference in Lebanon’s internal affairs, adding that no country has the right to do so. He further emphasized that Lebanon’s independence and sovereignty are of great importance to the entire region. The top Iranian diplomat made the remarks upon arrival in Beirut. Araghchi then met with his Lebanese counterpart. 

Ukraine-Russia war

Ukraine targets energy infrastructure in Russia , just hours after diplomatic talks between the two countries ended with no major breakthrough in Istanbul.The Ukrainian military launched drone strikes on multiple Russian regions, leading to a complete blackout in Zaporozhye Region, while parts of Kherson were also left without electricity. The strikes came just hours after Moscow and Kiev concluded the second round of direct peace talks in Istanbul, during which the sides exchanged memorandums outlining their respective proposals for resolving the conflict. The two sides also agreed another large-scale prisoner exchange in their meeting in Istanbul.
