US-Israel Gaza genocide

More Palestinians have fallen victim to Israel's air and artillery strikes in Gaza, as the regime's genocidal war rages on unabated across the besieged territory. Just in one of the latest attacks, at least 9 people were killed in Khan Yunis. Latest Israeli attacks have targeted Jabalia refugee camp, Gaza city and Rafah. According to the Gaza health ministry, 24 Palestinians have been killed since Monday. It says more than 51,200 Palestinians have been killed since the onset of Israel’s genocidal campaign. Nearly 117,000 others have been injured since then.

Anti-Netanyahu demos

Israeli forces have clashed with protesters holding a fresh rally in Tel Aviv over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the war in Gaza. Protesters chanted slogans against Netanyahu, demanding his resignation over his failure to secure the release of the Hamas-held captives. The protests have become a weekly event in Israel against Netanyahu’s decision to resume fighting in Gaza after it shattered a two-month ceasefire deal with Hamas in mid-March. Netanyahu has been under fire for prioritizing his political interests over the lives of the captives.

Russia-Iran treaty

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially ratified a 20-year strategic partnership agreement with Iran, solidifying long-term cooperation between the two countries. The treaty, initially signed in January by Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, has now completed its legal process in Russia following approvals from both houses of parliament. The agreement aims to deepen bilateral relations across key sectors, including defense, trade, and energy, while fostering closer coordination on regional and global issues. Putin has called the pact a “breakthrough document”, emphasizing its role in ensuring stability and sustainable development for both countries and the broader Eurasian region.
