Iran wins Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Jordan

Iran clinched the championship title at the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Jordan by winning four gold medals, one silver medal, and four bronze medals.

Iran clinched the championship title at the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Jordan by winning four gold medals, one silver medal, and four bronze medals.

The Asian Adult Freestyle Wrestling Championship was held on 29 and 30 April in Amman, Jordan, the Public Relations Department of the Wrestling Federation reported on Sunday.

The Iranian team won gold medals with Mehdi Yousefi in the weight of 79 kg, Abolfazl Rahmani in the weight of 86 kg, Amirhossein Firouzpour in the weight of 92 kg, and Amirreza Masoumi in the weight of 125 kg.

Milad Valizadeh won a silver medal in the 57 kg weight category. 

In addition, Ahmad Mohammadnejad Javan in the weight of 61 kg, Abbas Ebrahimzadeh in the weight of 65 kg, Sina Khalili in the weight of 70 kg and Mohammad Mobin Azimi won bronze medal in the weight of 97 kg.

Iran's freestyle wrestlers won the team championship with a strong score of 190 points, while Japan and Kazakhstan came in second and third with 146 points and 123 points, respectively.
