'Stop genocide in Gaza'

The Hamas resistance movement has called for urgent global action to break the Israeli siege of Gaza and end the regime’s genocide against the Palestinian people. The movement said Israel is pressing ahead with its horrendous crimes against unarmed civilians in Gaza, and is escalating bombardment of civilian homes and shelters. Hamas added that the number of civilians killed in Gaza since last Tuesday has exceeded 630. At the same time, Israel is maintaining its complete siege of Gaza, blocking entry of all necessities of life, including food, water, medicine, and fuel. Hamas stressed that the crimes committed by the terrorist cabinet of the Israeli prime minister constitute a flagrant and unprecedented violation of international laws. It called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the international community and the United Nations, to take urgent action to break the siege of Gaza, and stop Israel’s ongoing massacres.

Yemen anti-US operations

The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement says deployment of the second US aircraft carrier to the region proves the failure of the USS Harry S. Truman. The Harry Truman carrier was recently severely damaged in the Yemeni army's missile and drone attacks. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in televised remarks that the US traditionally used a single aircraft carrier to intimidate other countries, but it failed in Yemen. He stressed that in the case of Yemen, these vessels have turned into liabilities for the US due to their vulnerability to attacks. Houthi said the need for an additional carrier signifies the inadequacy of a single carrier against a nation like. He also touched on psychological warfare tactics employed by Yemen’s adversaries, noting that they are used to instilling despair among people by exaggerating the enemy’s capabilities. Houthi stressed the importance of exposing the enemy's weaknesses to counteract such tactics.

Unrest in Turkey

Streets in major Turkish cities are witnessing a fourth consecutive night of protests, following the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. The street rallies mark the country’s largest unrest in over a decade, as police forces clash with protesters. On Saturday, protesters gathered outside Istanbul's courthouse, where Imamoglu appeared before prosecutors. Many protesters wore goggles and masks, with some throwing flares at the police, who responded with pepper spray. The demonstrations continued despite a government ban, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s warning that security forces would not tolerate what he called “street terror.” Demonstrations have reportedly spread to more than 50 of Turkey's 81 provinces. Officials report 343 arrests so far. Imamoglu was arrested on Wednesday, just days before his expected nomination as the opposition candidate for the 2028 presidential race. He faces charges related to Kurdish organizations, bribery, corruption, and fraud. Imamoglu denies the charges, calling his arrest a politically motivated attempt to sideline him from the race.
