Islamic Revolution anniversary

Tonight, Iranians celebrate the eve of the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. It has been decades now that the Islamic Establishment has used Quranic values and principles to deliver the country from monarchy to the people.

While tomorrow the nation celebrates 46 years of equity, independence, democracy, and dignity, it has not been an easy road. Western leaders and countries headed by the US have not ever accepted an independent Iran, one devoid of their influence, and detached from the strings they use to control so many puppet regimes throughout the world.

The 46 years of defiance and resistance has come at a cost, from sanctions to asset freezes to hundreds of attempts to undermine the nation's sovereignty, including outright support to hostile governments and terrorist groups to shake the very foundations of the Islamic Republic. This complex situation is the focus of this edition of the Spotlight.
