Israel violations in Lebanon

The Israeli regime has carried out airstrikes on areas in southern Lebanon in blatant violation of a fragile ceasefire agreement with the Arab country. The first strike hit the town of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, wounding 20 people. The drone attack targeted a vehicle in the area with a guided missile. Israel confirmed the strike, claiming the target was a Hezbollah truck transferring weapons. The second attack hit the neighbouring town of Zawtar, wounding four people. This is the first time Israel has hit the area since the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon entered into force November last year. The Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, strongly condemned the strikes as another violation of Lebanese sovereignty and a blatant breach of the ceasefire agreement. He also urged the ceasefire monitoring committee to take a firm stance and insure Israel’s compliance with its commitments under the truce deal.

Gaza ceasefire agreement

The Israeli military continues to violate the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are returning to their homes in northern Gaza. According to Palestinian media, Israeli tanks opened fire on a number of Gazans in the vicinity of Gaza City’s al-Zaytoun neighborhood. There are no reports on possible casualties yet. The regime’s forces also fired at civilians near the southern city of Khan Yunis. One of the Palestinian Red Crescent’s ambulances was shot by Israeli snipers west of Rafah, while carrying out an urgent mission. Gaza officials say 48 bodies were delivered to hospitals in the past two days, including 37 bodies recovered from under the rubble. The figure increases the death toll from the Israeli genocide to 47,300. Despite the regime’s attacks, hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians continue to return to their homes in northern Gaza, determined to thwart any displacement plans. The UN humanitarian office says more than 376,000 displaced Palestinians have returned to northern Gaza so far.

Israel crimes in West Bank

The occupied West Bank remains the scene of violent Israeli incursions, as the regime’s forces continue to raid various areas across the Palestinian territory. During their latest attacks, the regime forces stormed several villages west of the city of Ramallah, including Deir Ibzi, where they abducted several Palestinians. Israeli troops also raided Tulkarm where they opened intensive gunfire on every moving person. A Palestinian young man was killed by the regime forces' live fire south of Tulkarm. A number of civilians, including a child and a female journalist, were also injured. Witnesses said Israeli troops prevented the paramedics and ambulances from taking those injured to the hospital. Israeli military bulldozers also continued to plow through infrastructure as well as public and private properties in Tulkarm and its refugee camp. Israel has intensified its violent attacks on Palestinians across the West Bank since a ceasefire agreement halted nearly 15 months of the regime’s genocidal campaign in Gaza.
