Gaza ceasefire deal

200 Palestinian prisoners to be freed in exchange for 4 female IOF soldiers as part of a prisoner-swap deal under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The Qassam Brigades spokesperson, Abu Obeida, disclosed the names of four female Israeli soldiers who will be released tomorrow. This marks the second batch of prisoners to be exchanged in the agreement between Hamas and Israel. In the first phase, 90 Palestinian prisoners were freed in exchange for three Israelis. The second phase will see 200 Palestinians released for the four soldiers. The Gaza ceasefire agreement includes three phases, with the first lasting 42 days. Negotiations on the details and implementation of the next stages are set to begin about two weeks after the start of the current truce which went into effect on January 19.

Gaza's resilient resistance

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has released more footage of its operations against Israeli forces in Gaza before the ceasefire. The video contains the moment senior Israeli military officials were killed in revenge for the assassination of the Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar.

Israel's war on Lebanon

Israel says its army withdrawal from southern Lebanon will last beyond the 60 days agreed in a ceasefire deal with the Arab country. Israeli Prime Minister’s office in a statement accused Beirut of not fully implementing the agreement. However, the statement came after the Israeli army attacked towns in southern Lebanon and engaged in military actions in the area. Under the ceasefire deal signed in November, Israeli forces were to withdraw from Lebanon and the Lebanese army was to deploy soldiers in the south of the Arab country over 60 days ending on January 26. Hezbollah resistance movement has called on the Lebanese government and other parties to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire deal with Israel. It has said evading commitments under any pretexts would not be tolerated by the group.
