US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Palestinians in Gaza wake up to more bloodshed and destruction as the Israeli regime presses ahead with its deadly aggression against the blockaded territory. At least five Palestinians were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle on Salah al-Din Street, near Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. Also in Khan Yunis, Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building in the al-Mawasi refugee camp, killing several including a child. Israeli air raids also targeted a group of children playing in a Gaza City neighborhood, killing several. The Israeli military also shelled a number of areas across Gaza, leaving an unknown number of Palestinians dead and injured. The Israeli aggression against Gaza began in October 2023. Since then, more than 45-thousand 7-hundred Palestinians have been killed and over 108-thousand others injured.

US arming Israel

The United States is set to approve an 8-billion-dollar arms package to the Israeli regime as Tel Aviv presses ahead with its genocidal war against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The Biden administration has reportedly notified Congress of the proposed arms sale to Israel. The deal includes munitions for fighter jets and attack helicopters as well as artillery shells, small-diameter bombs and warheads. Washington is the biggest supplier of arms to the Israeli regime. Earlier In August, the country approved the sale of 20 billion dollars in military equipment to Israel. Protesters have for months demanded an arms embargo against Israel, but US policy has largely remained unchanged. Washington has stood by Israel during its genocidal campaign in Gaza that has so far killed more than 45-thousand Palestinian civilians and displaced nearly all of Gaza's 2-point-3 million population.

Iran ready for talks

Iran’s foreign minister says his country is ready to resume negotiations over its nuclear program. In an interview with China’s CCTV, Abbas Araghchi added that the negotiations should be conducted based on building trust over Iran’s nuclear program in return for lifting sanctions against Tehran. He referred to the 2015 deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as a formula that can bring about an agreement. The top Iranian diplomat described as a big strategic mistake the US withdrawal from the JCPOA in 2018. That’s while, according to Aragchi, the entire world hailed the deal as a diplomatic achievement, and Iran abided by the terms of the agreement, with goodwill.
