More Palestinian civilians slaughtered

The Israeli regime’s genocidal war on Gaza rages on, claiming the lives of more Palestinians. The IOF attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza with more than 17 military vehicles, dozens of soldiers, and jets. Over 50 people, including women and children, were killed and injured, and some 20 housing units were destroyed. The Gaza Media office has condemned the barbaric attack as a crime of genocide and called for its condemnation. Also, an Israeli shelling in the southern city of Rafah struck a house and injured a number of people. Israeli air raids in the southern city of Khan Yunis have wounded three people. In 24 hours alone, 58 people have been killed and over 80 injured. The death toll in the Gaza Strip has surpassed 45,300. Over 107,700 people have also been injured since the Israeli regime began its onslaught in October last year.

Netanyahu trial

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has attended the fifth day of testimony in his trial on corruption charges. Netanyahu faces 3 separate cases of corruption filed in 2019 against him, including bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. He has called all accusations fake and denied any wrongdoing. Netanyahu also faces charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity with the international criminal court issuing an arrest warrant for him. He is also accused of prolonging the war in Gaza to keep his political position safe. Thousands of Israeli protesters in tel Aviv want Netanyahu to step down and snap elections to be held. They blame the prime minister for failing to bring back the Israeli captives held in Gaza.

Russia-Ukraine war

The Russian army says it has struck a Ukrainian military airport and captured more land as the war in Ukraine drags on. According to the Defense Ministry, Russian ground forces have gained control over two more settlements while, staging multiple attacks against Ukrainian military targets. This includes a Ukrainian military airport, drone factories, and gathering of what's referred to as a location of foreign mercenaries. Meanwhile the Ukrainian military has announced increasing its use of drones and US-supplied advance missiles to target sensitive Russian military positions and energy infrastructure. In the latest of such attacks, Ukrainian drones hit a luxury apartment block in the city of Kazan, some 1,000 kilometers from the frontier. Russia has vowed to respond strongly.
