US-Israeli Gaza genocide
The death toll rises in Gaza as the Israeli military continues to target areas across the besieged strip. Gaza’s Civil Defense says four people were killed and several others injured in an air strike that targeted a house in the south of Gaza City. Reports also say Israeli quadcopters have been shooting at civilians in the town of Jabalia al-Balad. There’s no word yet on the potential casualties there. Earlier, Israeli warplanes struck three schools sheltering displaced people east of Gaza City. At least 20 people were killed and scores more injured in the attack. Over 45,200 Palestinians have been killed during the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza since October last year. More than 107,500 others have also been injured.
Israeli settler violence
Settlers entered the northern village of Marda and stormed the Bar al-Walidain Mosque. They wrote racist slogans on its walls and started a fire. Local residents managed to extinguish the fire before it spread. Over the past year, the UN has recorded nearly 1,500 instances of settler violence in the occupied West Bank. The attacks by settlers often occur under the protection of Israeli soldiers. More than 700,000 Israelis live in at least 250 settlements and outposts in the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds. The settlements are illegal under international law.
US forces in Syria
The United States has announced a significant increase in its military presence in Syria, doubling the number of troops deployed to the Arab country. The move raises questions about the US’s illegal oil extraction practices and the true motives behind America's sustained military engagement in Syria.
