An Israeli soldier involved in the genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza has reportedly been assaulted in Thailand.
The soldier, 22, who was identified as Ilay was on a trip to Thailand when unidentified German tourists attacked him, Palestinian media reported.
"I passed by a group of four young Germans,” he said. “One of them asked, 'Where are you from? Israel?' I turned around, and he punched me in the face."
He said that then they continued to assault him, pushing and kicking him physically.
“I felt like they were specifically looking for Israelis. It didn’t seem like they just randomly passed through an alley and got into an argument; they were looking for me and came to ask where I was from,” he added.
In the wake of the incident, Tel Aviv urged Israelis in Thailand and Southeast Asia to remain extra vigilant in public places such as restaurants and hotels.
The attack against the Israeli soldier occurs against the backdrop of growing international outrage over the Tel Aviv regime’s campaign of war and destruction in the Gaza Strip.
More than 44,000 people, mostly women and children, have so far been killed since Israel launched the brutal war last October.
