Grief and despair rock southern Gaza in a new wave of strikes. The Occupation army has targeted Palestinian homes in Rafah, killing dozens - amongst them women and children, with many more injured.
It is the same space that the regime told Gazans would be safe. The shattered hopes of those who thought a ceasefire was on the cards with regime leader Benjamin Netanyahu shooting down the peace proposal from Hamas, saying that he will not leave the Gaza Strip until he achieves total victory. The fact that his war cabinet is yet to achieve even a single of its stated objectives is something Tel Aviv has scarcely considered. With more negotiations said to take place in the Egyptian capital, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says a deal remains possible. Yet analysts wonder how can the chief architect claim to have the necessary tools and insight to extinguish the flames.
