One shot is all it takes to take a life. Thousands of American lives are taken each year in the United States from gun violence.
This year 17 thousand lives have ended before the year has even reached its halfway point. More than two hundred mass shootings have been reported across the United States so far this year.
Each year in the past three years there has been more than six hundred mass shootings which means almost two a day. Data reveals that more than 50 people are killed by a fire arm each day in the US.
