Russia vs NATO in Mali
As Russia's military operation in Ukraine continues to affect the whole world, thousands of miles away in the West African country of Mali is emerging as another front for escalation between Moscow and the US-led NATO military alliance. Mali has not only ejected France, a former colonial power and key NATO member, but is also now acquiring Russian military hardware to boost its war on terror.
The countrys defense minister speaks here when receiving military choppers delivered by Russia. In the first segment of our program today, we are focusing on how Mali has become a battle front for Russia and the US-led NATO military alliance. We are asking, as Mali moves to fully embrace Russia, is NATO plotting to topple the government in Bamako?
