Iranian leather production dates back thousands of years. In fact, Iran is one of the oldest leather producers in the world.
Ancient artifacts show Iranians were using leather to make shoes, clothes, and weapons at the height of the Bronze Age in the 15th century B-C.
Historically, Iranian leather was always a welcomed import because of its high quality and the countrys strategic location along the Silk Road. The leather production legacy continues to this day, but, it looks a lot different with the evolution of technology and industry.
