A gunman has reportedly shot three Israeli settlers near a West Bank settlement, killing one and injuring the other two, the regime’s rescue service says.
A medic for Israel's United Hatzalah rescue service said in a statement on Thursday that one of the injured who was in critical condition died soon after the incident while “two additional wounded people” were conscious.
Medics said the shooting occurred near Shavei Shomron settlement, in the northwestern areas of Israeli-occupied West Bank.
No one has been so far arrested in connection with the incident and Israeli troops are searching for suspects.

Many Palestinians have sustained injuries or lost their lives in incidents due to allegations that they attempted stabbing or car-ramming attacks against Israeli settlers and forces.
The new development comes a few days after Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian youth in the head during clashes in the city of Nablus in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Last week, Israeli police also arrested a 14-year-old Palestinian girl on suspicion of stabbing her neighbor who lived in an East al-Quds settlement..
Earlier this month, Israeli troops killed a young Palestinian and injured as many as 68 others, as they attacked the southern part of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Tel Aviv has been criticized for its extensive use of lethal force and extrajudicial killing of Palestinians who do not pose an immediate threat to its forces or to settlers.
Israeli troops have on numerous occasions been caught on camera, brutally killing Palestinians, with the videos going viral online and sparking international condemnation.
The Israeli regime occupied the West Bank in 1967 before starting to dot the Palestinian territory with illegal settlements and severely restricting the Palestinians' freedom of movement there.
