Passenger gun goes off, causes chaos at Atlanta airport, owner flees
Travelers at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International airport dove for cover after a gunshot was heard at one of the airport's security checkpoints. The incident occurred around 1:30 pm (1830 GMT), causing chaos at the area near the security checkpoint.
Officials later said there was no active shooter and that a gun had been "accidentally discharged". Airport officials tweeted that the passengers and employees were not in danger.
