Gazans mark Palestinian Prisoners Day

Palestinians in the Gaza strip have held a rally to mark the Palestinian Prisoners' Day and send a message of solidarity to all Palestinians inside Israeli jails. 

On this occasion marking April 17th of each year, Palestinian prisoners committee in the Gaza Strip held a protest in front of the oldest prisoner's house, Diaa Al Agha, who spent 29 years in Israeli jails. This protest aimed to express solidarity and support to all Palestinian prisoners who suffer in Israeli jails.

As part of the series of events held to mark Palestinian Prisoners' Day, the Palestinian legislative council held a press conference to renew the vow to set all the prisoners free from the Israeli jails and follow the steps of resistance.

There are some thousands of Palestinians in Israeli jails, including women and children.

People here stress that the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails are the symbol of resistance and their freedom is a top priority for all Palestinians.
