Israeli forces have shot dead a Palestinian man during a protest in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian health ministry says the victim was shot in the head in a village near the city of Nablus. No further detail has been disclosed. Israeli forces often violently clash with Palestinian protesters. They also resort to lethal force against the occupied people citing different pretexts.

Yemenis hit Saudi Aramco facility

The Yemeni army has launched a retaliatory strike against an Aramco oil facility in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said 6 combat drones hit their targets with high precision. Brigadier General Yahya Saree added that the retaliatory strikes will continue and escalate as long as Saudi Arabia carries on with its aggression against Yemen. Saudi Arabia also confirmed the attack on its oil refinery in Riyadh, saying it caused a fire. The kingdom and some of its Arab allies launched a deadly war and blockade on Yemen in 2015 with the aim of reinstalling a friendly regime there. The coalition has so far failed to achieve its objective but the conflict has claimed tens of thousands of lives and created the world's worst humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

Myanmar post-coup violence

Myanmar security forces have killed at least nine more people as anti-coup protests continue across the country. According to an official, eight people were killed in the central town of Aungban after the military opened fire on protesters demanding the return of civilian rule. One protester was killed in the northeastern town of Loikaw. There was some shooting in the main city of Yangon, but no word on casualties. At least 233 protesters have been killed and over two thousand others arrested since the coup on February the first. Several countries and human rights organizations have slammed Myanmar’s junta for using lethal force against pro-democracy protesters. Meanwhile, the Indonesian President has called for an immediate end to the violence.
