World leaders condemn Trump for inciting violence

US President Donald Trump has finally agreed to leave the White House peacefully, but only after provoking a deadly attack on the Capitol Building in Washington DC. Condemnation is pouring in from across the globe and calls for the impeachment of a man in charge of the world’s most powerful nation are getting louder.

Trump certainly seems bent on going out with a bang. After refusing to concede the election and riling up his supporters online and at his last rally, his supporters stormed the Capitol Building on Thursday.

Five people were killed during the attack, including one female protester who was shot at point blank range. When Trump was initially called upon to pacify his supporters, he stopped short of condemning the violence.

However hours later he changed his tune, finally acknowledging he’ll leave the White House peacefully after Congress affirmed his defeat, and taking the opportunity to distance himself from the mob that attacked the Capitol Building.

Meanwhile, condemnations have poured in from around the world, even from those considered close allies and supporters of Trump.

Trump only has 13 days left of his term, but it seems that’s too long for some.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi described the president’s actions as an unspeakable assault on the nation and its people, joining those calling for him to be impeached yet again.
