A number of ambassadors and military attaches of different countries in Tehran have signed a memorial book to commemorate the high status of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the top Iranian scientist who was assassinated on November 27. The diplomats have voiced their hatred and condemnation against this act of terror.

Fakhrizadeh, who headed the Defense Ministry’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, was assassinated after his car was ambushed in the town of Absurd, east of the capital Tehran.

He was seriously injured and taken to hospital, but succumbed to his wounds. The scientist had a long history in defense innovations and had made key efforts to promote Iran’s peaceful nuclear energy program.

Experts believe the assassination of the Iranian scientist comes as part of Israel's attempts to disrupt Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

The ambassadors and military attaches of different countries who commemorated Mohsen Fakhrizadeh have strongly condemned his assassination, saying the main perpetrators should be brought to justice anytime soon.
