Israelis want to marry but can't

In Israel marriage can only be approved by religious rabbinate courts. Also, marriage must be based on the Jewish religion. However, not all Israelis according to the Chief Rabbinate are Jewish including immigrants and converts, among others. This has been the case since 1947, the generations then understood. But now, the younger generations and with the influx of Soviet immigrants things are changing and not necessarily for the better.
