Bayern Munich have clinched the German Super Cup after edging Borussia Dortmund 3-2 at Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians raced into a 1-nil lead when Corentin Tolisso scored with a simple finish in the 18th minute. Thomas Mueller then doubled the advantage for Bayern with a fine header in the 32nd minute.
Dortmund, then, pulled one back as Julian Brandt with a powerful shot from inside the box before the break. Dortmund got to the equalizer after Norwegian rising star Erling Haaland netted with a precise shot from close range 10 minutes into the second half.
But the parity was short lived as Bayern retook the lead with 8 minutes to go through Joshua Kimmich winner.
