In Germany, Bayern Munich's 23-game unbeaten run has ended after suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Hoffenheim, away from home.
The hosts took the lead after 16 minutes, when Ermin Bichakchich headed the ball home from a corner kick. Munas Dabbur applied a chipped finish to his solo run to double the lead for Hoffenheim in the 24th minute.
But the defending champions cut the deficit when Joshua Kimmich scored with a clinical finish from the edge of the box before the break.
Hoffenheim found their rhythm in the 2nd half as Andrej Kramaric made it 3-1 with a precise shot in the 77th minute. Kramaric himself then completed the Bavarians misery, after scoring his brace from the spot in the dying moments of the match, 4-1 the final score.
