Iranians went to the polling stations in ten constituencies on Friday to vote in the runoff parliamentary elections.
The 11th parliamentary vote was held in late February.
In the ten constituencies, nominees failed to achieve a quorum and the votes were put to a second round.
Twenty candidates are now competing for the 10 remaining seats of the 290-seat parliament.
The Guardian Council is responsible for vetting the nominees and overseeing the elections.
It says the runoff vote was scheduled to be held mid April but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The vote is held amid strict health protocols.
Aside from the 10 empty seats, six other seats are also undecided because three of the winning candidates later died of the coronavirus, two others were disqualified by the Guardian Council and another was disqualified by parliament.
A separate voting will be held to decide the fate of the six remaining seats.
The new parliament inaugurated in late May. It is predominantly occupied by the principlist camp, which is the main political rival for the reformists.
The results of the runoff vote will not drastically affect the political lineup of Iran's parliament.
