Demonstrators gathered at the iconic Obelisk in Buenos Aires and marched with face masks to the Social Development Ministry. They are calling for greater economic aid for citizens living in extreme poverty and more support for soup kitchens in the capital's most deprived areas
In recent years, Argentina has been mired in deep social and economic crisis. At the end of 2019 officials estimated poverty to affect 35.5% of the population.
