Djokovic donates €1 MN to help Serbia fight COVID-19
Tennis superstar and world number one Novak Djokovic is donating a million Euros to help his native country Serbia, in the fight against the coronavirus.
Djokovic says that his donation will be used to purchase ventilators and other medical equipment.
The tennis star also thanked China for sending several shipments of medical equipment to Serbia.
More than 400 people are known to be infected with COVID-19 among Serbia's seven million population. Like many other sports, the outbreak has put a halt on the tennis season as well, with both the men's ATP Tour and the WTA Tour suspended till June the 7th.
