La Liga: Barcelona 1-0 Real Sociedad
Barcelona have temporarily moved to the top of La Liga, after edging past Real Sociedad 1-nil at Camp Nou.
After a scoreless first half, Sociedad threatened the Catalan Giants time and time again on the counter attack in the second half, but the hosts were awarded a penalty after a VAR check as Argentine superstar Lionel Messi converted with 10 minutes remaining.
With the result, Barcelona go two points clear of Real Madrid, but Los Blancos can regain the top spot with a victory at Real Betis on Sunday.
