An annular solar eclipse created what is known as a "ring of fire" around the Moon, which was visible across large parts of the Eastern Hemisphere on Thursday, as can be seen in footage filmed from Zayed City, in the United Arab Emirates.

The eclipse is known as a "ring of fire" because of the bright ring of sunlight it draws around the Moon. The annular solar eclipse, which was the last eclipse of 2019, was visible from parts of Indonesia, southern India, the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
