Iran nuclear deal
UN chief Antonio Guterres has called on all parties to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal to uphold their commitments to prevent further tensions.
Guterres made the call in his report on the implementation of a UN resolution endorsing the deal. The UN chief’s report stressed that the US sanctions on Iran are against the goals of the accord. The UN chief expressed regret over the US withdrawal from the deal and Iran’s scale-back measures.
