Helicopter rescues people trapped by floodwaters in Murcia region in Spain

Spain’s Military Emergency Unit (UME) deployed a helicopter to rescue several people who had become trapped by the floodwaters in the region of Murcia, Friday.

Officials have advised people not to leave their homes unless it’s urgent.

The storm that hit the southeast of the Spanish peninsula has caused severe damage, killing four people, with several hundred more being evacuated. At least 40 roads have been blocked.
