Over cycling news, Jesus Herrada has won Stage 6 of ‘the Vuelta a Espana’, while Belgian rider Dylan Tunch has claimed the leader’s red jersey.
Herrada avenged his brother a day after Jose finished 3rd in the 5th stage. The Spaniard took the final climb to beat Tunch and the rest of the breakaway group into winning his 1st Grand Tour Stage.
Frenchman Dorian Gordon finished 3rd. But it wasn’t a bad day for Tunch, who despite missing out the win by 7 seconds, managed to take the red jersey from the overnight leader Miguel Angel Lopez, with the Colombian dropping to 3rd place in the General Classification, behind David de la Cruz of Spain.
The day was overshadowed by a major crash that took Rigoberto Uran and Nicolas Roche out of the race. Stage 7 will be a 183 kilometer mountainous run from Onda to Mas de la Costa.
