Last Wednesday, Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) retook the strategic town of Gharyan in south of Tripoli from General Khalifa Haftar's army. But what made the headlines was what they seized at a base they captured: a number of US-made Javelin anti-tank missiles packed in wooden boxes belonging to "armed forces of the United Arab Emirates". Libyan media aired footage to show markings that these US-made weapons were sold in 2008 to the UAE, one of Haftar's major supporters.
