Quran is always teaching us to proactive and responsible for our future saying: Verily, God does not change mens condition unless they change their inner selves [13:11] The Muslim travel ban and the other Trump challenges will do nothing but increase the Muslim American determination, strength, and resilience. It is time wake up and shape our future before Islamophobes shape it for us.
In her speech Linda Sarsour encourages American Muslim communities to be rooted in reality of the country that they live in. She reminds attendees of those who sacrificed for them to live as Muslims in America and raises the question: What are we willing to sacrifice for generations of Muslims to come?
