The Merseyside Reds scored the opener in the 18th minute, through their Egyptian Star Mohamed Salah. Virgil van Dijk then made it 2-nil in the 68th minute as he tapped the ball into the net from Mo Salah’s cross.
Jürgen Klopp’s team top the table on 48 points, 4 clear of Manchester City, who will face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
