Uruguay and Paris Saint Germain star Edinson Cavani has been presented with the 2018 International Golden Foot Soccer Award in Monaco.
The 31 year-old Uruguayan beat Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and fellow Uruguay forward Luis Suarez to the title. The ceremony was organised by the World Champions Club and is based on votes by the media as well as the public.
Since the 2008-09 season, Cavani has reached double-digit goal scoring figures every season playing for Palermo, Napoli and French Champions PSG, where he has won 4 league titles. Cavani has also scored 46 goals in 106 games for Uruguay, winning the Copa America in 2011.
